SINGAPORE WOMEN'S ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS ACADEMY
The first of its kind in Asia, SWAGA's mission is to train gymnasts to be competitive at Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) Junior and Senior level competitions and be at a level to represent their respective national teams.
SWAGA boasts the region's highest calibre coaches including 5-time Olympic coach, Eric Boucharin - a master coach at the highest FIG Academy Level (Lvl 3). He is joined by Head Coach, Joy Koh, Singapore's highest qualified FIG Coach (Level 3) and FIG Judge (Cat II). Together, they bring a new and original approach to high-performance gymnastics in Singapore - one that is athlete-centred, coach driven, parent and administratively supported, with modern scientific techniques and use of the latest performance technology.
SWAGA lives by a small coach to gymnast ratio (maximum 1:5) to ensure that every child enrolled in the Academy receives individualised development through highly targeted coaching.
Our participants will spend a minimum of 23 hours per week in the gym.
All gymnasts will be regularly evaluated to ensure coaching is bespoke to each individual athlete, to help them achieve their personal sporting goals:
Professional Evaluation of Athlete's Profile > Individualised Training Programme > Structure and Progressive Skill Acquisition > National Training Camps > International Competitions
